The transparency of
lobbying activities is
to our democracy:
it makes citizens
aware of the influences
that take place and the
choices public bodies face.
A commitment to transparency and the citizen
The Québec Commissioner of Lobbying ensures compliance with the Lobbying Transparency and Ethics Act and Code of Conduct for Lobbyists. He also promotes the transparency, legitimacy and sound practice of lobbying activities.
Whether as a professional, a business executive or self-employed, a lobbyist has expertise, projects or a vision to share with the elected officials and public servants of the Québec State.
As an elected official or public servant of municipal, government or parliamentary institutions, a public office holder is mandated by the public and must ensure its right to know who is trying to influence his or her decisions.
